The Scotland Food & Drink Network invites you to join us for an interactive conference designed specifically for Scottish food and drink businesses looking to harness the latest developments and trends in communications.

Scotland Food & Drink Network brings you ‘Talking Trends’a One-Day Conference for Food & Drink Businesses

At the event you can sign up for ‘hands-on practical workshops covering social media advertising, PR, influencer engagement and content creation.

We know you like the chance to talk to the experts, so we will have one-to-one surgery sessions and industry panels that will  give you up to the minute knowledge and skills that you will be able to put into practice on the day and after you leave the event.

Ambitious food and drink businesses of all sizes are invited to attend Talking Trends, run by an award-winning team of trainers who work entirely in food and drink communications.

Eligibility: This conference has been designed specifically for food & drink businesses based in Scotland.

This event features interactive hands-on workshops so you will need to bring a fully charged web-enabled device to get the best out of the day

• A checklist for creating press releases that save journalists time, clearly communicate your story and are placed in the right pages 
• Real life examples of press releases that journalists love & loathe

Mobile Hacks for Creating Food and Drink Content:

• A tool kit of free to use smartphone apps that improve efficiency and the end result 
• How to confidently navigate challenges presented in different food production environments in order to get the best content possible 
• Composition and food styling tips when using a mobile phone for photography and video

Maximise Sales using Social Media Advertising:

• A step-by-step walkthrough of Facebook Ads Manager
• Information on how to build targeted audiences suitable to your business
• How to build key campaigns including: promoted posts and promoted pages

Alice Will – Co-founder, Director
A born strategist, Alice will share her years of experience creating powerful campaigns for ambitious food and drink brands working at start-up level through to global household names.

Mhairi MacLeod – Co-founder, Director
A former Herald journalist and food & drink writer, Mhairi will be sharing insider tips on engaging media, how to work with bloggers plus introducing attendees to a number of influential editors.

Laura Blackhurst – Head of Social Media 
As LUX’s Head of Social, Laura will be imparting strategic knowledge on the use of social media advertising and current trends that help grow your audience quickly and effectively.
