Food and drink production is one of the largest industry sectors in Scotland. Over the last 10 years, food exports have more than doubled, it’s Scotland biggest employer, sales of Scottish brands in the UK have risen over 40% and the industry is worth a whopping £15 billion. Scottish Tourism

Food and drink is also critical to Scotland’s tourism sector – with 20% of visitors’ spend on food and drink. Tourism is a significant employer across Scotland, accounting for one in 12 jobs. Within the sector, restaurants employ the most people, accounting for 39 per cent of all employment.

Assistant Cheesemaker required for award winning farmhouse cheesemaking business near Anstruther in Fife.

The successful candidate/s will join our small friendly team and learn to make cheese!

Duties include assisting with all aspects of the recipe; looking after cheeses as they mature in the Stores; cutting and packing cheese for orders; cleaning; serving customers.

Both full-time and part-time applications welcome.

Previous experience is not essential as full training will be given.

Would you like to assist in various aspects across a busy and diverse rural business?  The job includes milking cows; looking after livestock; and/or general tractor work.  Both full- time and part- time applications are welcome.  A two bedroom house could be made available as part of the package for a full time applicant.  Previous experience in the agricultural industry is preferred but not essential – full training will be given.
