Food and drink production is one of the largest industry sectors in Scotland. Over the last 10 years, food exports have more than doubled, it’s Scotland biggest employer, sales of Scottish brands in the UK have risen over 40% and the industry is worth a whopping £15 billion. Food and drink business of all shapes and sizes are now part of a Scottish food and drink movement and we are seeing more and more Scottish labelled produce on UK supermarket shelves and in restaurants across the world. Food and drink is also critical to Scotland’s tourism sector – with 20% of visitors’ spend on food and drink. Tourism is a significant employer across Scotland, accounting for one in 12 jobs. Within the sector, restaurants employ the most people, accounting for 39 per cent of all employment.

We are hiring!
We are looking for an enthusiastic person to work in our jam team. Duties would include (but are not limited to) making jam, marmalade, chutney and curd, jarring and lidding finished products and doing some labelling when needed.
The job is quite physical and own transport is essential due to not being on a regular bus route. Hours are Monday to Thursday 9am until 5pm with the option of extra hours during busy times.
Due to food handling requirements, a high standard of personal hygiene is essential. Previous experience of working in food production and a food hygiene certificate is preferred but not essential as training will be provided. Rate of pay dependant on experience.

Cheesemaker required for award winning farmhouse cheesemaking business in Fife.
We are a family business who have been making cheese for 15 years using unpasteurised milk from our own herd of cows. Due to increased demand we are now about to expand our facilities to allow us to grow and so this is a very exciting time to join us.
Duties include all aspects of the recipe; looking after cheeses as they mature in the Stores; cutting and packing cheese for orders; cleaning.
We are located in a beautiful part of Scotland, just south of St Andrews.
Both full-time and part-time applications welcome. Competitive salary will be offered.
Previous experience is not essential as full training can be given.
