Food and tourism related businesses in Fife have only a few more days to register for two major national award schemes.
The closing date for the Scottish Thistle Awards, and the Scotland Food and Drink Excellence Awards, is this Friday, March 2.
The Scottish Thistle Awards are designed to discover and celebrate excellence and innovation by the Scottish tourism industry.
The scheme encourages businesses to be proud of their achievements and to share ideas and best practice, and there are twelve award categories.
The four different areas are Highland and Islands, North East, South Central East, and South Central West.
The regional finals will take place in May 2012, and the winners will go forward to the national awards. For more information please visit the website at www.scottishthistleawards.co.uk.
You can also call the Thistle Awards hotline on 0131 472 2228 or email email@example.com.
The Scottish Food and Drink Excellence Awards are run jointly by Scotland Food & Drink and the Royal Highland and Agricultural Society of Scotland.
The scheme has been recognising and rewarding the very best in Scottish food and drink for many years and continues to be considered a true badge of excellence.
This year, for the first time, ASDA is the main sponsor, and there are 17 different categories.
They are aimed at rewarding companies and their products in areas such as skills development and new product innovation and everything in between.
The presentation ceremony will be at the Doubletree by Hilton Dunblane Hydro Hotel on May 24, 2012. Entry forms can be downloaded at www.scotlandfoodanddrink.org
