The Tay Cities Regional Food Groups (Great Perthshire, Appetite for Angus, Food from Fife and Eat & Drink Dundee) have been successful in securing funding from Scotland Food & Drink’s Regional Sourcing fund to support the objective of enhancing the sales of regional food in local specialist retailers.
We’ve decided to try something different this year and rather than running a traditional ‘Meet the Buyer’ event like we have the last few years, we’re going to take a selection of local products “on the road” to meet buyers in their locations. This follows a successful pilot of this concept across Angus last Spring.
Participating producers have selected two products from their range to showcase. These will be taken out and presented to retail buyers in farm shops, delis, and similar outlets across the four regions.
Visits will take place throughout March & April, during which, orders will be taken and passed to the producers for fulfilment and delivery.
