Fife’s latest real ales will be available for tasting next week at locations in Cupar and the East Neuk.

Bob Phaff, of the St Andrews Brewing Company. will be revealing the five “bottle conditioned” ales he has been carefully nurturing since the start of the year.

As recently revealed on this website 30 year Bob, of Kingsbarns, has launched the venture at premises in Glenrothes and hopes to eventually transfer the operations to St Andrews itself.

His passion for real ale developed into his very own micro-brewery, and his initial ales are Blonde, I.P.A, Seventy Bob, Oatmeal Stout, and Neuk Ale.

Bob has been working with renowned brew master Stuart Noble, of the award winning Abbeydale Brewery in Sheffield.

Local ceramic artist Susan McGill has helped to bring a unique image to the brewery and the beers.

The first tasting will take place at Luvians of Cupar, on Tuesday March 6 at 6.30pm.

On Saturday March 10, between 11am and 3pm, the venue will be Ardross Farm Shop.
