Eden Brewery in Fife is hosting a celebration of the growing trend in brewing whisky-flavoured craft beers as part of Whisky Month in May.
“The Angels Craft” at Eden Brewery will celebrate the growing appetite for whisky-flavoured craft beer.
It is created using whisky casks and other waste products from the whisky making processes, producing a distinctly Scottish beer.
The Angels Craft will take place from 1- 10 May and there will be ‘virtual tasting’ and special events with leading experts and bloggers explaining the intricacies of brewing whisky beer.
The Scotch Malt Whisky Society (SMWS) is also holding a “Clans and Drams” tasting event on 29 May, at Garvock House Hotel in Dunfermline.
In celebration of Homecoming Scotland, the local Dunfermline Society Ambassador will help people find their flavour clan with a range of tasty SMWS whiskies. They will serve five exclusive single cask malts along with a scrumptious one course supper of fine Scottish produce.
With a diverse range of whisky events, festivals, special tours and tastings, Whisky Month invites visitors and locals to sample Scotland’s national drink as well as explore both the traditional and contemporary blend of stories, circumstances, provenance and science behind our vast array of marvellous malts.
Whisky Month is taking place throughout Scotland from 1 – 31 May. The programme of 19 funded events will showcase the very best of Scotland’s food, drink, music and culture as part of the Year of Homecoming Scotland. It is expected that Whisky Month events will attract audiences in the region of 70,000 people.
