Scottish Food & Drink Fortnight is almost upon us – and the organisers would like to see even more people involved.

Boasting more than 220 events last year, the fortnight offered foraging to farmers’ markets, cookery demonstrations to butchery classes, and hosts of special menus.

Managed by Scotland Food & Drink, the fortnight is a celebration of the best that Scotland’s vibrant larder has to offer.

It offers a great opportunity for people to shout about what they are doing with Scottish food and drink.

Events can be registered for a listing on the site free of charge here http://www.scottishfoodanddrinkfortnight.co.uk/join-in-register/register-your-event

The two weeks of activity will also be promoted through Facebook  facebook.com/eatscottish and Twitter using @ScotFoodFort and #EatScottish.

Anyone running an event is being encouraged to become involved with these two forums.

There is no charge for participation –  the fortnight champions Scottish produce and invites businesses to shout about what they’re doing!

In addition, Scotland Food and Drink will be running competitions throughout the Fortnight, and they will be promoted through the same channels (website, Facebook, Twitter).
