Experience the Beauty of Spring at Scotland’s Daffodil Festival at Backhouse Rossie
Saturday 12th – Sunday 13th April 2025, 10am – 4.30pm

Celebrate the arrival of spring at Scotland’s Daffodil Festival, hosted at the beautiful Backhouse Rossie Estate in Fife. Taking place in their RHS Partner Garden, this uplifting event is a must-visit for flower enthusiasts, families, and those looking for a wonderful day out in the fresh air.

Backhouse Rossie is home to the National & Scientific Collection of Narcissus Backhouse cultivars, and visitors will have the chance to admire thousands of historic, modern, and scented daffodils alongside a stunning display of spring-flowering plants.

A Fun-Filled Day for Everyone
Beyond the spectacular floral displays, the festival offers a host of attractions to explore. Browse artisan stalls featuring unique handcrafted products, uncover vintage treasures, and sample delicious food and drink from local artisan producers, including Food from Fife members, Nakey Bakey & The Sunshine Kitchen.

Families can enjoy a range of activities, including the Bear Walk, a children’s Woodland Walk Quiz, and a nine-hole putting green.

The festival also showcases award-winning daffodils from multi-Gold Medal-winning grower R&A Scamp, with bulbs available for purchase and delivery in autumn.

Step Back in Time
Take a scenic walk through the estate and experience some of the first daffodil cultivars created in the UK. Early tulips, auriculas, and other vibrant spring flowers provide a colourful welcome to the season. Follow the Mary Queen of Scots Footprints trail, explore the Wild Walk to Tomb Wood, or take a moment to reflect in the tranquil grass labyrinth.
