Fife’s Spencerfield Spirit Company has just created a new variation on its award winning Edinburgh Gin – by using some of the best of Scottish soft fruit.

The limited edition raspberry infusion combines the gin with a little cane sugar and Perthshire raspberries picked at their optimum ripeness.

The result is a delicious deep, tart, raspberry flavoured gin that makes a refreshing alternative to the usual sloe or damson gin.

The already successful Edinburgh Gin is a classic big juniper gin with a twist.

It uses traditional gin botanicals along with Scottish juniper, heather, pine and milk thistle.

Edinburgh Gin has already won Scotland Food and Drink’s Best Drink award as well as two gold stars at the Great Taste Awards.

Spencerfield Spirit Company, which is already planning other Edinburgh Gin variations, has its home in a 16th century farmhouse overlooking the Forth Rail Bridge. 

It was set up by former marketing director of Glenmorangie and whisky aficionado Alex Nicol, who along with his wife Jane is dedicated to providing a quality niche alternative to the more conventional mainstream brands.
