The annual Dundee Flower and Food Festival takes place this weekend, and it promises a feast of food, gardening and growing.

Celebrities include Mary Berry, Tom and Henry Herbert – the Fabulous Baker Brothers, Alys Fowler and the Red Hot Chilli Pipers, and the winner of the second World Jampionship is also being announced at the event.

Spread over several acres of beautiful Camperdown Park in Dundee, the festival offers something for everyone, and over the weekend around 25,000 visitors are expected.

The large food marquee close to the entrance to the show will host the free three day cookery demonstration programme and around fifty trade stands.

Apart from the celebrity demonstrations on Saturday and Sunday, talented chefs from Fife and Tayside will be displaying their skills and passing on valuable cooking tips throughout the weekend.

Food from Fife will be represented in the marquee with demonstrations including one from the five star Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort and Spa.

Visitors will also be able to pick up copies of the second edition of the acclaimed Fife Larder, which contains a wealth of information about the Kingdom’s food offering. 

There will be chance to win a voucher for £50 worth of Fife food, and local businesses represent at the show include Puddledub Buffalo, Spencerfield Spirit Company, Stahly’s Blackpudding, Hatters Catering, Seriously Good Venison, Decadent Delights and Chillilicious.

In addition the Food from Fife stand is being manned by the Royal Highland Education Trust Fife (RHET), which is working with Food from Fife on educational projects.
