Crail’s action packed annual food festival will place next month, and will be bigger than ever as it spreads over a wider range of local venues.

With the focal point at the town’s beautiful harbour, the festival will run over the weekend of June 14 and 15.

The event is being supported by Fife Council’s Strategic Events Programme, the Community Food Fund, EventScotland and Homecoming Scotland 2014.

Crail Community Hall (Indoor Market and Tasting Hall) –

This is where some of Fife’s finest producers will be housed over the weekend, browse the market stalls and visit the Flavour Of Fife sampling table. Keep your ears open for the tasting hall announcements, we’ve got food and drink tastings and hampers to be won all afternoon.

 

Crail Kirk Hall ( Chefs Demo Theatre ) 

It was only fair that we dedicate a complete hall to the people who know how to cook. From Michelin starred themes to wheat and dairy free sessions our bespoke country kitchen is sponsored by the wonderful Ardross Farm Shop. First come first served, so be early to have a chance of winning a free lunch!

Crail Town Hall ( House Of Sugar )

Marshmallows, chocolates, that’s a reason alone to visit our confectionery hall and marvel at the wonderful 3D food art installation whilst tasting on all things sweet, located in our historic Tolbooth it’s a place for adults and children alike. You may even take some Tipsy Mallows home, and get involved in creating a work of art.

Crail Legion Hall ( Kids Activities & Workshops)

You don’t have to be a child to complete the Crail Food Trail but it will help if you bring your kids along. Start from our children’s activity venue where you can learn to make jam; listen to Mrs Mash or get hands on in our cookery workshops. It will take you just under an hour to finish the Crail Food Trail and you will meet some surprises on the way. Hand in your finished trail to Crail Museum and get a token for the chance to win a lovely family day out in Fife.

Day Pass £3.00 per adult, children free, includes parking. Entry to seated events on a first come first served basis.

 Marine Hotel ( Pop Up Tasting Bistro )

It’s a guest house really, but with unrivalled views across to the beautiful Isle of May, what better on a Saturday night than to bring in local musicians, add in some games with fine dining prizes, a few drinks, another few drinks and just talk all things Crail. Crail Harbour ( Lunch at the Harbour) – SUNDAY ONLY

Crab, smoked venison, potted shrimp, home made lemonade, summer Cider all set in the natural amphitheatre of our pretty little harbour. Join us for a grab and go lunch between the venues. Don’t worry , we are serving from 10.30am – 16.30pm and there will be something for everyone.
