The highly successful combination of five star cooking and top class produce will be continuing in St Andrews today.
In what is thought to be a UK first, the five red star Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort and Spa is has joined forces with Fife Farmers Market in a series of cookery demonstrations.
The resort’s executive chef, Martin Hollis, is running demonstrations at the market each time it visits St Andrews – the first Saturday in each month.
Executive chef Martin leads a team of chefs at the Old Course Hotel and oversees the resort’s 3 AA rosette-awarded Road Hole Restaurant.
He said that the resort takes the very best local, regional and Scottish ingredients – in season – and serves them to guests and visitors.
“At the market demonstrations, I am working with produce on site and showing visitors how to make the very best from the fabulous food available” he said.
The Fife Farmers’ Market, St Andrews is located in the car park between Argyle Street and Doubledykes Road). The Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa will be at every St Andrews market up to and including Saturday November 2nd.
Martin’s recipes will be available to download from http://oldcoursehotel.co.uk/eventplanning/cookery_farmers_market.html and will also be shared via the hotel’s social media links on Facebook and Twitter.
