Main Ingredient(s): Apples, Alcohol

Type: Dessert | Difficulty: Easy | Serves: 12

Homemade mincemeat is just so much more delicious than bought.  I don’t see the need for suet in mincemeat other than for a filler, so have left it out with no adverse effects.

Provided by Jenny Thomson.

Makes about 2lb/1K

Measure all ingredients except the alcohol into a pan, bring to the boil and simmer for a few minutes.

Remove from the heat, allow to cool to blood heat.

Stir in the alcohol, pour into a Tupperware box or sterilized jars and store.
